· As a Motor Investigator you will be required to investigate and report on a portfolio of Motor Liability, Fraud and Theft claims.
· As an EL/PL Investigator you will be required to investigate and report on EL/PL claims, in the main, however the ideal candidate will also investigate Motor Liability, Fraud and Theft claims.
Undertake tasks identified as being necessary in support of an investigation, including seizure and viewing of evidential material, taking evidential statements from witnesses and undertaking enquiries.
Secure the best evidence through thorough investigation and effective management of all available resources, working to an agreed investigation plan, in order to resolve issues and allow a considered decision to be taken regarding further action.
Prepare and submit completed evidential files to the Case Manager or Client, observing the highest professional standards, and meeting the required standard in relation to quality and timelines (SLA).
Occasionally attend court hearings and case conferences as required, giving evidence in relation to those aspects of any investigation which the post holder has had any involvement during the investigation process or are within their personal knowledge.
Liaise with internal units, police forces, external agencies and the public, in relation to the gathering of evidence, identifying and tracing offenders and ensuring that all aspects of the investigation are taken into account.
The Successful Candidate will:
Have a proven insurance-orientated and/or investigative background, ideally with experience handling RTAs / insurance claims, who is willing to be extremely flexible in their working hours and have the ability to meet the challenges of a demanding and complex area and workload.
Hold a Full Driving License.
Be an excellent communicator and IT proficient
Be able to accurately record evidence and complete other admin.
Be calm and adaptable in ever changing situations.
Salary: dependent upon experience – £25k-35k
