Tom founded The Cotswold Group in 1990, the business has grown considerably and now employs over 270 staff. He is a former Police Officer having served within the CID and Regional Crime Squad where he specialised in covert surveillance combating serious and organised crime.

After attaining a degree in Law, Kath commenced a career in Gloucestershire Police. Kath’s current role sees her responsible for the key tasks of Managing and implementing the Group wide support functions, including Administration and Accreditation. Kath is involved in the selection and development of Cotswold people.

A police officer for 9 years, spending several years on CID before being seconded to the Force Surveillance Unit. Martin Joined The Cotswold Group in 1993 undertaking and supervising surveillance operations and as Surveillance Director currently manages a team of around 100 involved in Surveillance Operations in the UK, Ireland and Europe.

A former Police Officer with 9 years service (of which 7 years were in CID), Shaun subsequently worked in the Security Industry as an Operations Director before joining The Cotswold Group in 1999. As Investigation Services Director, Shaun runs a team of internal and field staff handling internal and supplier fraud and large loss investigations.

Matthew joined The Cotswold Group in 2010 as a Director with responsibility for Business Development. He has extensive insurance industry experience, beginning his career with Endsleigh and Prudential. Matthew then joined Aviva where he held a number of positions including Head of Motor Recoveries. Originally from Bath, Matthew graduated from Exeter University in 1995 with a BSc in Economics.

Andrew trained as a Chartered Accountant with Grant Thornton in Cheltenham. In 1990 joined Group 4’s international headquarters where he was the financial lead on business development projects including corporate acquisitions and contract bidding in both corporate and Government sectors. In the last 10 years he has served on the board of directors of a number of privately owned companies operating in commodity trading, retail and manufacturing industries. Andrew joined the Cotswold Group in June 2011.

Kate joined The Cotswold group in 2002 and has become an integral member of the management team.  She managed the project which delivered Cotswolds bespoke case management system (COG) and Intelligence database (Prospect) and has responsibility for  Business Operations including Management Information and business infrastructure.  Kate is currently studying for a degree in Business Studies.

Mark joined The Cotswold Group in June 2010 and is responsible for the complex fraud and delegated authority teams.  His previous roles include 9 years with RBS, firstly as a claims inspector and then for the final 5 years he oversaw the fraud rings and organised crime within the claims department. Before RBS Insurance Mark was with Sun Alliance & subsequently RSA for 14 years.  Mark has experience in handling motor, personal injury, employers liability, public liability & professional indemnity claims, before spending 8 years as a claims inspector investigating the aforementioned category of claims as well as agricultural.

With over 25 years in the Insurance Industry Paul joined Cotswold in 2007 from Norwich Union Insurance, where he was Manager of North London Commercial Claims Operations, before becoming the Manager of the UK General Insurance arms Special Investigation Unit where he was responsible for technical fraud issues within the UK. During his time with NU, Paul was responsible for implementing procedures to deal with Fraud in all aspects of the business, and in the field of Organised Motor Fraud was the NU representative on the working party tasked with creating the Insurance Fraud Bureau processes. Currently a member of the committee of the Insurance Fraud Investigators Group, A UK Board Director of the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators, and a number of other fraud and Investigation associations and working groups. Paul is responsible for technical best practice and Claims Validation within Cotswold.

After a 30 year career working for Insurers, Grant joined The Cotswold Group in 2007. The majority of his career was spent at the Ecclesiastical Insurance Company, where he supervised various claims teams. In his last role he was responsible for claims procurement.

Steve joined the business in 2007, having retired from the Police service where his final posting was to the CID as a Detective Sergeant.

Initially employed as a Field Investigator, Steve was involved investigating all levels of suspected fraud from opportunistic insurance fraud to organised fraud rings.

In December, 2008, he became the Operations Manager with responsibility for all field based Investigators and in April 2011, he took on the mantle of Head of Fraud with direct responsibility for the overall management of the department.

Steve joined the Cotswold Group in November 2008, having worked for Aviva for 29 years. From Bedfordshire he worked in Luton for Commercial Union for 19 years. Having worked in a variety of claims roles in 1989 Steve was promoted to a Senior Management role. In 2000 he moved to London working in Technical Claims Services within Norwich Union where the role included handling the higher value bodily Injury claims, project work and finally Relationship Manager for Intermediary Business.
