Eighty field-based investigators have left Aviva as part of a shakeup of its motor and bodily injury claims division.
Post has learnt that the staff have moved to the Cotswold Group, part of the G4S business, effective 1 January.
Aviva said: “Following a review of the way we manage motor and bodily injury claims, we have transferred our claims investigation team to the Cotswold Group, a specialist claims investigation company and part of the G4S business.
"The Cotswold Group has been an investigation supplier to Aviva for a number of years and is an organisation well known to us.
“This change will enable us to move to a more flexible approach which will allow us to vary resource depending on the level of claims investigations at any given time.
“This move, which took effect from January 1, resulted in the transfer of around 80 field-based investigators.”
Tom Scott, managing director of G4S Cotswold Group, said: "We have enjoyed a successful working relationship with Aviva, as an established supplier of claims investigation work for over 20 years and we are delighted to have won this contract against stiff competition.
"We look forward to welcoming Aviva's claims inspectors to the G4S Cotswold group family and developing this area of our business providing Insurers with a cost effective Investigation model for EL/PL, Property, household and a host of other specialist claims types."
