Surveillance Operative

Our growing Surveillance Function is seeking new Surveillance Operatives. While prior surveillance experience is preferred, we would be thrilled to hear from you if you feel you are the right fit for our team. All equipment and vehicles will be provided as well as full and comprehensive training. Recruiting staff will take place nationwide, especially in and around London and the M25.

Previous surveillance and/or investigation experience is desirable but not essential. We are looking for highly motivated team members, with the core skills of intelligence, integrity, determination and grit to cope with the robust nature of our work.

Responsibilities
As part of their responsibilities, operational staff observes and films subjects on a daily basis in an ethical and legally compliant manner. The majority of assignments involve significant insurance claims related to personal injuries. As evidence captured is frequently submitted during court proceedings, attention to detail, adhering to internal processes, and following our Code of Conduct are essential. This is a demanding but rewarding role.

For those joining us full time, we provide full training along with a company vehicle and the equipment required to carry out the role. You will be part of an operational team with a strong work ethic, working to the highest of industry standards and supported by a dedicated case management and technical function. Our structure includes a variety of management positions and progression is attainable for those who demonstrate the correct competencies.

The Job:

To work under the supervision of an Area Manager and undertake covert surveillance operations with the purposes of obtaining video evidence of a subject’s level of ability.

To observe and film subjects in accordance with relevant legislation and our code of conduct.

To maintain accurate and detailed records of observations and provide evidence at court if required to do so.

To investigate and carryout enquiries and investigations as directed by the Area Manager.

The Skills required:

The Successful Candidate will:

Satisfy all vetting requirements to BS7858 standard.

May have previous experience (although not essential) of surveillance and/or investigation.

Hold a full Driving License for 2 years and a current Passport.

Have high levels of concentration and patience, with good observational skills, intelligence and tactical awareness.

Have good driving ability and be physically fit to carry out foot surveillance.

Be prepared to work flexible working hours and in sometimes challenging conditions.

Be able to accurately record evidence and be prepared to provide evidence in court if required.

Be calm and adaptable in ever changing situations.

Surveillance Training Program

We have been providing a covert surveillance service to the Insurance industry for over 30 years and offers a unique and comprehensive program of training and development to all our full-time operatives. We recruit, fully employ and train our investigators using qualified instructors.

For those that demonstrate the desired core skills during recruitment, we provide an opportunity to train and work to the highest of professional standards set above industry norms.

Following the successful completion of the vetting process, you will attend a two-week residential course during which we will teach you the skills of both foot and mobile surveillance alongside the legal and ethical policies that guide our daily activity.

We will provide you with a company vehicle and all the equipment you need to fulfil the role.

Thereafter, you will enter a 3 month mentoring program and subject to fortnightly assessments in order to track and support your development. If deemed at the appropriate level at 6 months service your appointment will be confirmed and you will continue in your role undergoing continuous feedback and training in support of our quality agenda.

For those requiring a flexible arrangement, we offer a part time PAYE contract with attractive rates of pay and terms to experienced investigators with a proven track record of excellence.
